It's been awhile....

I have not been blogging in so long. There has been a lot going on in the Williams house since Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas, we went up to Reno. We stayed at a hotel with Sharon and Grandma "O". We also spent a lot of time with Craig, Meredith, Marissa, Jared, Grandpa John and Grandma Diane. We had so much fun seeing them. They all embraced our foster son Chris. Chris had never had such a Christmas before. It was really special for all of to be a part of it. We played lots of games, ate lots of yummy food and saw Alvin the chipmunks movie. It was so fun!

Today is Valentines day.... We were placed with another foster child this last Tuesday. Her name is Liz and she is 16. She has a sad story. It breaks my heart to hear the stories that she tells me. I pray with her every night hoping that she will find some peace in her heart. She has a lot of hurt, she cries all of the time.

She already calls me "Mom" which is kind of weird. She also hugs on me a lot. I know that we learned that children who have attachement issues either latch onto you to much or not at all. I am letting her even though it feels strange to me. I don't want her to feel rejected by me

Her mother hits her and tells her that she does not love her. I can't believe that. It makes me feel so sad for her. No child should ever have to endure that kind of pain. Last night she told me that she does not want to ever love again. It hurts her to much. So sad....

We have had a good day today, we woke up to breakfast made by Bryan :) he's so sweet! He also made me a homemade card with my scrapbook stuff. It was so cute that he went into my scrapbook room and used my things to make it.

We got all of the kids Valentines stuffed animals and candy..... They all loved it. Then we headed for church. It is a beautiful day today here in the desert. 82 degrees

Chase just got his 2nd report card for the year and got straight A's again. We are so PROUD of him and his accomplisments. He is such a great little boy. We are so blessed to have him as our son. He excepts these children into our homes and shares his mommy and daddy with no problem. It pleases us so much

On Tuesday John and Diane are coming to visit us for four days. It will be so wonderful to see them. They have not yet been out here to our new home and to see what we do is all about. I hope to have a fun weeekend with them. Bryan has to work, but they will get to spend time with Chase and the other kids. Happy Valentines day to you all

Pumpkin Patch

We always look forward to going to the pumpkin patch every year. I love Fall, even though it never really feels like it in California :) I can't wait until we can live somewhere where it is cold and crisp outside for Halloween! I told Chase, maybe this time next year or the year after we will be at a pumpkin patch and it will be cold....
Our little one loved the pumpkin patch.... We met up with my sister and my neices and nephew. Also our friends Syndee and her kids showed up. It was hot! That part was not fun but the petting zoo, the corn maze, the bungee jumpy, and the mini warm doughnuts were a hit! Now we are ready for Halloween this weekend.

What a week!

This has been a scary week. Saturday while at Sam's club getting food for Chris's party, Chase told me that he was freezing. I felt him and he was burning up! We came home had him rest while we decorated for the party. We had the party which was really fun by the way. Chris had so much attention on him he felt a little uneasy. He actually started to gag himself while everyone was singing to him :( It was so overwhelming for him to have all of those people looking at him and singing.
He really loved all of his presents. He loved the bouncy that we got for him for the day. He jumped in it all day long! I hope that he remembers that day for a long time. His mom called yesterday which was a actual birthday, she was crying that she could not be with her son on his birthday. I felt so bad for her being a mother myself....

As for Chase he has been sick all week with a fever and a cough. His fever has not got to high thank God. The scary thing is that he only has 80 students in his whole school and over 1/3 of them were out sick. They decided to close the school down for the whole week.... Two children confirmed having the Swine flu!!! That is so scary for those children and my own. I have been praying and praying that we will all be ok. Chase seems to be feeling better but still has a low grade fever. I am trying to find somewhere that I can get him the swine flu vaccine.

Birthday weekend

I have not blogged in so long, I wanted to start again so here I am! This weekend is our little one's 3rd birthday. He has never had a birthday party :(... We wanted to throw him one, we can't wait to see how he reacts to all of the people here just for him. We got him a bouncy house and a cotton candy machine! It should be a fun day for him and the other kids.

It is still hot out here in the desert. I'm so over it, I really can't wait until it cools down! I love fall but out here it does not feel like it at all. I have all of my fun Halloween decorations up, that is fun ofcourse but if it were a little cooler it would feel more like the holiday.

We lost our teenager a few weeks ago. It was very sad to see him go. We could not be everything that he needed. I hope that we planted a seed with him. It breaks my heart so much to see what these kids go through. It really makes you appreciate where you come from. I had the perfect childhood. I can only imagine the sadness that these kids must feel. I hope that we are doing a good job :)

I will try to post more often. I hope that you all have a blessed weekend!
